Adding an elegant and sculptural detail to a jacket or coat, this abstract sterling silver brooch is a fine example of post-modern Scandinavian jewellery design. Based on a Möbius strip – the geometrical phenomenon that has just one side and one edge – the brooch has both an intellectual and an aesthetic appeal.
Swedish-born designer Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe had an instinctive appreciation for simple organic forms. The Möbius collection is a striking example of her understanding of the purity of line and it looks as contemporary now as when first created in 1968.
