THE ALL-NEW TUDOR BLACK BAY PRO
TUDOR watches have once again delivered another magnificent timepiece building on their ethos of “Born to Dare”.
This all new 2022 watch immediately brings the quality watch collector a creation of striking features both the dial and inside the case.
TUDOR’s heritage goes way back to 1936 and their forward-thinking founder Hans Wilsdforf. He spoke these words to the public of his TUDOR dream ‘For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous’.
Throughout their history, TUDOR watches have been chosen by the boldest adventurers and seasoned professionals alike.

Now, I hope you are getting the picture that TUDOR are not your conventional tool watch, they push the barriers much further than other manufacturers in my opinion.
Every iconic historical watch designed in this industry should be remembered for the right reasons. I strongly believe with my 40+ years of watch collecting this will be a future collectable.
Now then, the best is yet to come! Join with me in this short technical appraisal of the TUDOR Black Bay Pro with a dual time zone feature.
Up first is that strikingly clear domed black dial which is easy to read and includes a striking GMT yellow pointer hand. A simple vibrant colour that draws the observer in and aesthetically looks discreetly superb. The boldness of the large luminous markers is clever in the way that TUDOR use three different shapes. Circular, rectangular and diamond with the “Snowflake” hands, a hallmark of TUDOR divers’ watches since 1969.
A new feature of the TUDOR Black Bay Pro and a first for TUDOR are the applied hour markers on the dial that are made from monobloc luminous ceramic. The monobloc indexes are applied directly to the dial, without a ring setting. We see only the luminous material and no metal circle around the indexes.
This feature enhances the technical aesthetic of Black Bay Pro whilst considerably increasing the luminous surface of the hour markers. The look is calmly achieved without the dial looking too busy, whilst providing legibility at all times with a Grade A Swiss Super-LumiNova® luminescent material.
You may ask is there still room for the date aperture, the TUDOR shield and the chronometer and automatic wording? The answer is of course a confident Yes! The Black Bay Pro features the TUDOR Manufacture Calibre MT5652 with built-in GMT function offering a 70-hour power reserve and COSC-certified accuracy. The movement is housed in an all new 39mm case with a 24-hour graduated fixed bezel in stainless steel.
The bracelet is riveted 316L steel with a TUDOR “T-fit” clasp with rapid adjustment, a self-adjustable comfort feature as well as two strap options: a hybrid leather and rubber strap, or a black Jacquard fabric strap.
